The TAPAS-BH (Tactical Aerial Platform for Advanced Surveillance - Beyond Horizon) will make its flying debut at 'Aero India' next week. There will be static and airborne demonstrations during the five-day aerospace and defence expo, which begins on February 13. The UAV is capable of operating at altitudes up to 28000 feet, with an endurance of 18 plus hours.

The DRDO’s TAPAS-BH (Tactical Aerial Platform for Advanced Surveillance – Beyond Horizon), a Medium Altitude Long Endurance class unmanned aerial vehicle, will make its flying debut at ‘Aero India’ next week, according to news agency PTI.

According to the Defence Research and Development Organisation, the TAPAS-BH will demonstrate its capabilities, as well as static and airborne demonstrations, during the five-day aerospace and defence expo, which begins on February 13. (DRDO).

Meanwhile, the DRDO announced plans for a “enriching experience” of indigenous defence technologies and systems at AERO INDIA in order to incorporate multiple stakeholders in the country’s defence R&D ecosystem.

According to a DRDO press release, the expo will feature a diverse range of indigenously developed objects and technology.

Aeronautical Systems, Missiles, Armaments, Electronics, Micro Electronic Devices and Computational Systems, Soldier Support Technologies, Life Sciences, Naval Science, and Material Science will be among the items on display.

“The exhibition will highlight DRDO’s recent advancements in achieving Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of “Aatmanirbhar Bharat,” it said.

According to reports, the DRDO pavilion would feature over 330 items organised across 12 categories, including Combat Aircraft & UAVs, Missiles & Strategic Systems, Engine & Propulsion Systems, Airborne Surveillance Systems, and Sensors, Electronic Warfare, and Communication Systems.
