Garuda Aerospace will deploy their Droni Drone for surveillance in the most affected areas to identify where victims could be trapped under rubble piles. A modified Kisan Drone will carry payloads that will help transport emergency medicines, supplies and food for victims. Garuda Aerospace used emergency drones to deliver medicine and vaccinations to hospitals during the pandemic by partnering with Swiggy.

To help with the ongoing relief and rescue efforts in Turkey following earthquakes that have killed thousands and left thousands missing, the NDRF has asked Chennai-based Garuda Aerospace to provide their DGCA-approved drones for disaster management operations.

Garuda Aerospace will use their Droni Drone for surveillance in the most impacted areas to identify where victims may be trapped under rubble piles, as well as a modified Kisan Drone to transfer emergency medicines, supplies, and food to victims.

Firm Drones Will Be Deployed By NDRF In Turkey

“Given the present situation in Turkey, Garuda Aerospace is sending drones to support the ongoing rescue and relief activities,” said Agnishwar Jayaprakash, Founder and CEO of Garuda Aerospace. “We dispatched two of our drones,” he continued.

Previously, Garuda Aerospace deployed drones for rescue and relief efforts during the Chamoli glacier burst in Uttarakhand and played a significant role in Rajasthan locust control operations. In collaboration with Swiggy, Garuda Aerospace utilised emergency drones to deliver medicine and immunisations to hospitals during the epidemic. Garuda drones have also assisted a mountaineer in rappelling down a mountainside and rescuing a trekker. In 2021, Garuda’s White Knight drones carried medications and immunisations to hospitals in Bengaluru for ISRO.

Garuda Aerospace, which has 400 drones and over 500 pilots spread throughout 84 locations, is prepared to respond to a variety of emergencies. Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the former captain of India’s national cricket team, presented a camera drone called Droni at The Global Drone Expo in Chennai and also became the company’s Brand Ambassador.
