While drone systems will improve military monitoring overall, soldiers will be able to fly at speeds of over 50 km/h thanks to jetpacks, and four-legged robotic mules will aid with logistical needs in distant border regions.
The tethered drone system comprises of drones that are tied to a ground-based tether station and can continuously monitor targets that are out-of-sight.
The Army stated that the suits with a current propulsion system should have controls for safe climb and descent, take-off, and landing in all directions in its request for proposals (RFP) to buy jetpacks.

The user of the jetpack suit is propelled through the air by using gas or liquid as propulsion.
The deadline for submitting a proposal is February 14.
Following the bloody clash between Indian and Chinese troops in eastern Ladakh in May 2020, the Indian Army has been enhancing its surveillance systems along the Line of Actual Control.
