The US Department of Defense granted L3Harris Technologies Inc a $40 million deal on Friday to provide 14 anti-drone weapon systems to Ukraine’s security services.
According to the business, their Vehicle Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment (VAMPIRE) package will enable Ukrainian ground troops to target, fire down, and protect against ground threats. L3Harris will supply four VAMPIRE units by mid-2023 and 10 more by the end of the year, according to the deal.

The defence contractor will instal the equipment on vehicles given by the US government for combat assistance on the Ukrainian battlefield. Since the start of the conflict against Russia last year, the US and its allies have provided Ukraine with billions of dollars in armaments.
Separately, a fresh US arms aid package for Ukraine costing more than $3 billion is scheduled to be unveiled later on Friday, according to a document obtained by Reuters, and would include Sea Sparrow missiles for air defence and Bradley Fighting Vehicles.
